The cherry blossom tree is one of my favorite subjects to paint. Besides its obvious beauty, in Japanese culture it represents the temporary nature of life since the tree blossoms for only a few weeks, until the flowers begin to fall.
I also love to add butterflies, dragonflies, and ladybugs to these cherry blossom paintings because they have a special place in my heart. To read more about why I love to create these types of paintings, please go to my blog post: Butterfly, Dragonfly, Ladybug, Flower and Tree Paintings
